Luxury Brand Moncler Announces First Moncler His and Her Fragrances
Moncler is known for its luxury Italian fashion, and now the established brand is dipping its toes into the fragrance market. Moncler Pour Femme and Moncler Pour Homme are the first perfumes/colognes from the fashion house and are set for release later this week.
Much like the outdoor clothing they specialize in, both fragrances are influenced by forest terrain and alpine beauty. Moncler collaborated with perfumers Nisrine Grillié, Quentin Bisch, Antoine Maisondieu, and Christophe Raynaud on the fragrances at Givaudan in Switzerland.
“The mountain woods accord is the common thread between the women’s and men’s fragrance,” said Grillié. “For its woody, outdoors feeling, we used cedarwood. For the stylish sophistication of the house, we worked with a saturation of amber. Together with Antoine Maisondieu, we added sandalwood for its comforting, creamy warmth.”
Moncler Pour Homme has hints of clary sage, cedarwood, sandalwood, and musk, making it reminiscent of thriving woodlands. It’s topped with vetiver and citrus, offering a manly, woody scent. Moncler Pour Femme plays down the forest fragrance and offers a crisp, feminine appeal. Italian bergamot, jasmine sambac, and heliotrope merge with amber, cedarwood, sandalwood, and a touch of natural vanilla, resulting in a refreshing perfume.
It’s no surprise the bottles both fragrances come in are spectacular. The striking pink (for Pour Femme)/silver (for Pour Homme) topped glass flasks are modeled on Moncler’s famous puffer jacket. Another unique feature is a rechargeable LED screen on the front of each bottle that can be customized.
“After several years of discussion, research, and development, these two fragrances have come to life in a way that truly captures the essence of Moncler,” explained Philippe Bénacin, Interparfums CEO. “As the chairman and CEO of Moncler, Remo Ruffini has accompanied us throughout the process, closely following the global concept as well as the finer details. Moncler as a brand has such a covetable status – it’s a brand that really embodies innovation, which is why these perfumes feel like the perfect continuation of its story. With these two fragrances, even the bottle itself is a new adventure, a new spirit, and a new way of communicating – whether it is to write your name, a special message, or anything you like.”
Both fragrances will be available in 60 ml ($60), 100 ml ($140), and 150 ml ($210) bottles exclusively at Moncler boutiques and Bloomingdale’s from October 10.
